Hello, (Insert your name here) If you are reading this, you have successfully made it to Hyrokkin, or at least in its orbit. Before you begin with whatever you choose to do, there are things you must know.
I am Tero, the artificial intelligence in charge of new recruits to the factions.
Me, I am of the Hyrokkin Guard. We defend the system Eridu from raiders and illegal ships. When you decide who you want to be, keep in mind that whoever you choose to become, you must try to have more friends than enemies.

Factions and clans
Hyrokkin is full of cities, this means there are many factions too. These are the factions that dominate the system of Eridu.
The grey wolf alliance

The Hyrokkin Guard: The Hyrokkin guard protect Hyrokkin and Eridu from invaders, they own the majority of the land on the planet.

The Advanced Miners Syndicate (TAMS): TAMS are the main source of resources on Hyrokkin, they mine down deeper than anyone else, which results in them having greater and rarer resources. People can pay TAMS to get them something they need.

Unallied factions
Claw Orbital Weapons Manufacturers: The largest Producer of Vehicle based weapons in all of Eridu. They produce high-quality, cheap weapons for all vehicles.

The Eridu Removal and Protection Agency: You can pay a ERPA agent to protect anything you need, for a small sum of money. The agency will also let you pay one of its agents to "tactically remove" someone from the current situation. (Please note payment is NOT optional as it helps provide the upkeep for the faction.)

Other things you need to know

Credits: The form of money on Hyrokkin, it is transferred digitally via a retina scan based password.

Hyrokka: The abundant material underground in Hyrokkin. It is used to fuel many different things such as vehicles and weapons.

Weapons: Weapons of Hyrokkin do not just vary by size and manufacturer, there are many other types of firearm.
HHPCL: Hyrokka-fueled high power concentrated lasers, or HHPCLs, are only used in large vehicles because of their sheer size.
Laser: A heat-based projectile weapon that requires to be powered by a small electrical fuel tank on the underside of the barrel.
Ballistic: Fires conventional or explosive bullets.
Plasma: The same as ballistic but requires re-filling with compressed plasma energy cells.
Experimental: Other types of weapons include gloves that are powered by electricity so that they can fire lightning, fireballs or generally anything. PM me to suggest new weapons!

Equipment: There are lots of types of equipment on Hyrokkin, here are some:
Earpiece: An advanced version of the old earpiece communicator, it is highly secure and is hard to be bugged.
Hacker: A small box the size of a credit card. It will instantly hack any password or firewall protected device in a matter of seconds. These cost a large amount of credits to produce, so they are rare and expensive.
Power armor: Heavy powered armor that often uses electricity to fuel jet packs and handheld plasma cannons.

The forgotten:
The forgotten used to be a faction. They were formally known as the brotherhood of the dead, but after many years of living on Skalza (Hyrokkin's moon), they slowly began to fight among themselves. Eventually, all of the tension between them and the other factions was forced out in one huge blast of assassinations, murders and warfare. The forgotten killed one of the most senior Hyrokkin guard members, Sergeant Huiri, sparking a war between Hyrokkin and the brotherhood. All of the faction leaders decided they needed to be taken out once and for all. They powered the HHPCL ground to air cannon on the surface of Hyrokkin, firing it straight at Skalza. The moon was split into several pieces and so were the forgotten. Some of them were killed, some decided to become bandits, but there was one member who had sworn to get revenge on all of Hyrokkin, not just the Guards, but every faction. During the explosion, the member, now known as the Subject, mutated into something unlike anything ever known about. Some say he is still waiting out on Skalza, killing anyone he can.
